JOB DESCRIPTION

Be accountable at an advanced practice level for the design, implementation and assessment of Perioperative Introductory Program for Interns (PIP Med) education programs, managing educational resources and providing education expertise related to educational issues within PIP Med at Redcliffe Hospital.

About the Role

  • Provide leadership within a legal, professional and ethical framework that ensures contemporary consumer/person centred care and staff management practices.
  • Integrate the principles of contemporary education into practice.
  • Integrate nursing and health care knowledge, skills and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
  • Facilitate the delivery of cost effective quality consumer/person focused care through the development, implementation and maintenance of education and professional development programs and activities for Redcliffe Hospital Medical Intern staff.
  • Assist in the professional development of prevocational medical staff and/or students within surgical, orthopaedic, urology, obstetrics and gynaecology rotations.
