Applications are being sought for a new, exciting position as Head of Department - Student Services within the Canecutter Cluster - Case Management Project. This will be a Full-Time position for Semester 1, 2021, with the possibly of extension and will be based at Innisfail East State School. As the Head of Department - Student Services you will focus on initiatives to support the educational outcomes for students, incorporate the vision of State Schools Division into school planning, develop the quality of teaching and learning and nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and community.

Innisfail East State School is a school on the move catering for students from Prep to Year 6. Your Opportunity
While the position will be based at Innisfail East State School, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting all schools within the Canecutter Cluster to refine and implement the Canecutter Cluster Case Management Framework in all cluster schools. The Canecutter Cluster is comprised of nine state schools who provide educational services to the community of Innisfail.

Your Role
As well as having accountability for the key tasks outlined in the role description you will also have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following:
- Create a system for Canecutter Cluster schools to share progress of, and promote consistent best practices in case management
- Work with Canecutter Cluster schools by attending and supporting Student Support Team meetings with refining and implementing case management processes
- Work with Canecutter Cluster schools to define the role and train case managers to perform case management duties
- Work with Canecutter Cluster Principals to collect data about the effectiveness of case management procedures
- Develop supportive template for case managers to use to support best practice aligned to the Canecutter Cluster Case Management Framework
- Develop a bank of cluster resources to support professional development of case managers
- Develop a booklet for case management incorporating templates, checklists, resources and key Innisfail cluster contacts
A mandatory requirement of this role is:
- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. For more information please CLICK HERE.
- Teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
