The Department of Education is seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologists to fill various full-time and part-time positions working in state schools in Metropolitan Region. You will collaborate with state schools in the provision of specialised speech-language therapy services to support students with speech language communication needs to access, participate in and benefit from schooling. Your Opportunity

The Department of Education is seeking enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologists to join our dynamic educational team of therapists and teachers in Metropolitan Region.

In school settings across Metropolitan Region you will provide services to students with speech language communication needs and support to their teachers and families.

Current short term fixed vacancies are available in Ipswich and Calamvale.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:

  • Possession of a degree in speech pathology from a recognised tertiary institution, or other equivalent formal qualifications which, in the opinion of the Director-General, Department of Education, or delegate, are acceptable.
  • Eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.

This position may require the incumbent to operate a government vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required. (Queensland ‘C” class license).The incumbent is required to work throughout the service area of the position's base location.

The possession of current registration with the Australian Health Professional Registration Authority is required for this role.
