Job Summary/Introduction

Support the business in the effective operation of two Public Private Partnerships (PPP) arrangements.

Description

Our client, a large government organisation, is seeking to add an experienced Commercial Director to their ICT infrastructure service area. Using extensive contract management experience, you will be responsible for supporting the operation of two Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements within the business.

This is an initial 12 month contract opportunity, with a potential to extend for a further 12 months, based in Brisbane CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the State Representative and team in the effective operation of the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) arrangements entered into by the organisation.
  • Manage legal, commercial and technical advisers in the support of the effective operation of the PPP arrangements.
  • Work with the PPP team to ensure that robust contract management practices are implemented, especially in relation to financing and commercial aspects.
  • Work with the PPP team to resolve issues that arise in the PPP. arrangements, especially in relation to financial and commercial aspects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the stakeholders involved in the PPP projects.
  • Support the business in the development of its work processes and practices in your areas of expertise, including in relation to development of business cases.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive commercial and contracts experience, ideally within public sector environments.
  • Previous experience in a PPP environment.
  • Strong business case development skills.
  • Extensive experience managing infrastructure and IT systems related agreements with a high volume of activities.
  • Relevant industry qualifications would be highly regarded.
