There's never been a more exciting time at EPA as we work prevent the harmful effects of pollution and waste on Victoria's environment and people, with a focus on zero tolerance for waste crime and unsafe waste management.

We are seeking Senior Environment Protection Officers (VPS4) to join the Chemical Waste and Recyclable Materials Compliance & Enforcement Unit and the Waste Crime Compliance & Enforcement Unit within the new Waste Crime Prevention Directorate to implement the Government's Recycling Victoria policy, at our office in Sunshine. 

Your role as a Senior Environment Protection Officer:

  • Specialise in the prevention of waste crime / regulation of chemical waste and recyclable materials
  • Support industry and business to comply with Victoria's environment protection laws
  • Enforce the law to prevent harm and drive environmental improvement
  • Lead compliance and enforcement activities, conduct complex assessments and develop local compliance strategies
  • Mentor and lead Environmental Protection Officers
