SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA. The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid.

Key Responsibilities

As Plant & Equipment Manager you will play a key role in the planning, procurement and successful delivery of this exciting new project. You will be responsible for identifying, acquiring and managing the maintenance of all plant and equipment required for the project, this will involve:

  • Developing a strategy and methodology for plant and equipment through collaboration with the construction team and external suppliers and manufacturers
  • Identifying and securing key suppliers and subcontractors
  • Developing policies and procedures to manage the efficient acquisition, implementation, maintenance, transfer and disposal of assets
  • Building a high performing Plant & Equipment team to service the project

Your Skills & Experience

Ideally you will have relevant Tertiary and industry qualifications and significant experience leading Plant & Equipment teams for construction and engineering business and projects. You will also have:

  • An ability to form effective relationships and collaborate with project management, construction and procurement teams as well as external suppliers
  • A strategic approach to strategy development for plant & equipment
  • Well developed leadership skills and an ability to instil a culture of safety and process compliance
