Title: Short Term Maintenance Mechanical Planner/Scheduler
Work location: Solomon Ex Perth
Roster: 4 days on and 3 days off
Reporting to the short-term maintenance planning supervisor, the short-term mechanical Planner will be responsible for developing and managing maintenance plans and schedules to be integrated into the weekly schedule. The role requires the candidate to liaise with maintenance supervisors and site stakeholders to ensure that labour capacity and execution team loading is in line with available resources for maintenance schedules.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Review and seek information from internal and external maintenance personnel to ensure all work orders have the relevant information to execute the task to a high standard.
- Strong understanding of Work Management processes
- Developing detailed scopes of work
- Prepare work schedules for areas of responsibility and assign and communicate priorities
- Work with and facilitate the creation of inspection and maintenance PRT’s (documents)
- Working with maintenance team members to continually improve planning and work management processes.
- Ability to read and comprehend KPI results for the site maintenance teams
- Participate in creating and clarifying scopes for tasks
- Master data experience in:
- Task list creations
- Bills of materials creation
- Document creation and attaching to task lists and work orders
- Plan and item re-scheduling
Qualifications and skills required:
- Proven experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance
- A relevant trade qualification and 3 years’ experience as a maintenance planner
- Working experience with maintenance management systems and experience as a planner using SAP
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Project
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Work within a team environment, liaising with site long term planners, engineering and operations personnel to ensure that work orders are reviewed, planned and ready to execute within the required timeframe.
- Experience and ability to facilitate and participate at site meetings
