About The Client

Our client, an established Accounting firm, was founded in 1975. The firm offers a range of services, including accounting and compliance, bookkeeping and finance, wealth management and financial planning, advisory and business services, and referrals to trusted alliance partners. The Accountant role is a critical member of the team, with expertise across a range of services.

About The Role

Based in their inner city office, as Accountant you will provide accurate, timely & commercially relevant financial advice, analysis & support to the firm’s Partners clients including sound tax and compliance advice.


Hawthorn, Melbourne


This is a full time, ongoing position.


  • Provision of tax and compliance related activities for SMSF client portfolio
  • Provision of sound financial statements and advice to business clients
  • Recognition and calculation of Div7A, CGT, FBT
  • Research areas of development and participate in internal and external training opportunities when and where required
  • Ensure individual client deliverables are met on time with maximum productivity and profitability
  • Client interaction both face to face and over the phone
  • Ensure internal systems and processes are followed and adhered to
  • Achieve set and agreed yearly goals in consultation with the Directors
  • Client retention and satisfaction
  • Promote the expected values and behaviours at all times

About You
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience, (preferably more)
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting (A Bachelor level degree in a highly relevant discipline)
  • CA or CPA or studying towards your accreditation
  • Xero Certification desirable
  • Working rights – you can work fulltime in Australia without any restriction
  • Advanced IT and software skills – predominantly MYOB, Xero and other accounting software
