We are seeking applications for Installation Testing & Commissioning Lead role base in Melbourne. Reporting to the Installation Testing & Commissioning Manager, the successful candidate will lead and direct all technical personnel and subsystems to perform test and commissioning of CBTC sub- system including CBI/OCS, ATS, RATP, RATO, VATC, PSD and external interfaces both Melbourne lab and on-site commissioning. Ensure all technical issue are fully addressed and commissioned.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include The Following

  • Develop T&C strategy to lead the execution of the T&C activities both in Melbourne lab and on-site commissioning.
  • Direct and lead the activities of all professional and technical staff to follow the strategy in testing and commissioning of the system
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and set up competency development plan for the team
  • Develop schedules, plans and procedures for testing based on system needs/ progress with support from engineering and specialists as needed. Implement recovery plan and fallback plans to mitigate any impacts to delay the project delivery schedule.
  • Guide and direct the troubleshooting of problem. Lead the discussion with Engineering and WPC suppliers to analyse the root cause. Coordinate and manage all modification and regression test activities at site.
  • Prepare progress reports and presentations to BT senior management and customers
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations;
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks;
  • Understand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilities.

It is expected you will have the following qualifications, experience and personal characteristics:
  • Minimum Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • 8+ years experience in T&C of CBTC system
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of CBTC system is preferred
