We are seeking applications from experienced Deputy ITC Manager to join our team in Melbourne. Reporting to the ITC Manager, the successful candidate is responsible to deliver installation, test and commissioning activities for the RSA Project.
The responsibility includes coordination and planning with system-wide E&M work packages, when applicable including Signaling, Telecom, SCADA, PSD, Traction Power, AFC, Trackwork, Rolling-Stock, Depot Equipment and Civil Interface ensuring all technical interfaces between all core sub-systems are aligned by all Work Package Contractors (WPC).
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include The Following
Planning and Coordination
- Plan and provide progress update the site ITC activities in accordance to the rolling programme and actual site progress.
- Lead the ITC documents and follow up with submissions and clients comments in system-wide level
- Coordinate with WPC and sub-contractor(s) undertaking the Installation & Test & Commissioning activities.
- Establish recovery plan in case of delays and accepted by customer.
- Liaise with procurement and logistics on material deliveries based on the ITC site activities forecast.
- Strategize the execution of site installation activities and subcontractor strategy.
- Support Procurement on subcontractor scope of work and negotiations.
- Monitor the site installation activities and supervision of WPC / sub-contractors undertaking installation of signaling equipment.
- Assure equipment is properly stored prior installation.
- Ensure sub-contractor’s quality of work achieves the desirable quality level, with proper inspections and audits regularly.
- Record and register installation test records.
- Work with Design team for the evolution of drawings (ie. mark-up, modification sheets and transmittals) until the as-build stage.
- Support site interface management with different WPC
- Strategize the execution of site test and commissioning activities.
- Preparation of test & commissioning plans and procedures and obtain approval prior to commencement of site works.
- Ensure ITC staff will support the FAT and provide O&M inputs to Engineering team
- Support site commissioning activities, including functional tests and System Interaction Test and ensure that all interfaces to the signalling system are appropriately tested.
- Troubleshoot and rectify failures occurs during T&C phase.
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- 8 + years of railway signaling experience, including 6 years of technical and site management experience.
