JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) is a Government Business Entity responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of 8,500km of rail network across five states.

As Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) we’re proud to be a vital part of the transport supply chain and the economic development of Australia. We are champions of providing rail as a cost efficient, reliable, safe and responsible mode of transport. We’ve invested billions of dollars to build, extend and upgrade our network to get freight off the road and onto rail. That’s good for business, motorists, the environment and communities.

We are committed to the health and safety of our people, the environment and the communities in which we operate. In all our efforts, we aim to be inclusive and build pride and loyalty in our workforce.

About the Projects

The Port Botany Rail Line Duplication (including Cabramatta Loop) is a $400 million Australian Government funded capacity enhancement project which will be delivered by ARTC’s Major Projects Division

The “Projects” include the Botany Rail Duplication, duplication of the existing rail located between Mascot and Botany, and the Cabramatta Loop Project, new rail passing loop between Cabramatta and Warwick Farm. Both projects have long been identified as key infrastructure Projects which will increase the capacity of freight transported by rail to and from Port Botany.

The Projects are considered Critical State Significant Infrastructure and earlier this year, were included on Infrastructure Australia’s Infrastructure Priority List, which pinpoints national projects that are deemed essential for economic, social or environmental reasons.

The Projects involve the design and construction of track, under bridges, signal upgrades and civil works within and outside the existing rail corridor. More information relating to the project can be found here: https://www.artc.com.au/projects/
