JOB DESCRIPTION
Senior Manager Business Controls, Sales Quality & Conduct Monitoring
- Raise the risk profile across our Consumer Brands
- Drive change and make a real impact!
- Based in Sydney, working flexibly
This is a really important role for us! You’ll work with a team of people who monitor the conduct behaviour across our Consumer Brand network. This team detect things like inappropriate sales practices, internal fraud and inappropriate behaviours, and then action the alerts when they’re identified, working with the business on resolution and customer rectification as needed. Whilst this isn’t a direct people leadership role, you’ll enjoy a holistic view of the division from a quality and risk assurance perspective and will provide the tools and methodologies to ensure effective end-to-end execution of conduct monitoring.
With stakeholders across the consumer network and our customer engagement teams, you’ll also have heaps of opportunities to build genuine connections and play a huge role in driving a culture where risk awareness is built into our everyday business decisions.
What’s in it for me?
As well as job flexibility and the benefits of being part of the Westpac family (like special banking offers) you’ll always be learning in a place where your ideas are encouraged and where your growth is supported. Best of all, you’ll join a social team with experience you can leverage.
What do I need?
First and foremost, we’re looking for experience in retail or consumer banking – this will help you understand the landscape and hit the ground running. Experience across operational risk (1st or 2nd line of defence in particular) is a huge plus. You’ll have exceptional attention to detail and time management skills and a passion for going above and beyond. A strong commitment to raising things that could increase the risk to the Bank or our customers will be beneficial. It goes without saying you’ll be a natural people-person, able to build relationships and influence cultural change.
What’s it like to work there?
We aim to provide one big, supportive team to help us reach our vision to become one of the world’s great service companies. As an equal opportunity employer, we’re proud to have created a culture and work environment that values diversity and flexibility – and champions inclusion.
The health and wellbeing of our employees is our priority and we will ensure that physical distancing requirements are met in all our workplaces as long as required.
