How will I help?

As the Program Manager - Risk Culture, you will play a key role in enhancing Westpac’s risk culture assessment capability and improving insights into Westpac’s risk culture.

You will work with the business to drive a strong risk culture and will assist in the development and implementation of frameworks, processes and initiatives that reflect current and emerging approaches to risk culture, whilst meeting regulatory requirements.

As part of the Customer Outcomes Risk Excellence (CORE) Program, you will be responsible for improving the management of non-financial Risk by delivering the Risk Culture Workstream (Workstream 3). Due to the breadth of the role you will be responsible for project management and execution of Workstream 3 including associated deliverables and activities, specifically focussing on Risk Culture Behaviours & Measurement.

What do I need?

Proven experience in Program Management is a must gained from within banking would be advantageous, however exposure in the broader financial services and larger complex environments will also be consider.

You will need to understand risk management frameworks, Operational Risk and Compliance and Risk Appetite statement and be eager to drive a consistent and comprehensive approach to risk culture assessment across the Group.

Strong communication skills are a must, you will act as a key integration point between key stakeholders including Group Risk, the wider CORE Project team, Assurance teams and key business representatives.

AGILE, Waterfall and Project Management tools e.g. MS Project, JIRA proficiency will be an advantage.

You’ll need to be a team player who is driven to deliver whilst demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt and adjust to fast changing project environment, scope and delivery.
