We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic BDM to join our growing team. This role represents an opportunity to support an incredibly exciting, fast-growing fintech, disrupting traditional consumer finance.


Handypay is one of Australia’s leading point of sale finance providers in the home improvement industry. Part of the OurMoneyMarket Group, Handypay is one of the fastest-growing Fintech’s in Australia. We provide tailored finance solutions to our growing number of vendor partners, that provide customers with affordable, flexible payment plans like no other. We’re passionate about delivering targets, and value to our partners!


BDM's are responsible for the growth of our vendor partner network and providing tailored point-of-sale payment plan solutions to prospective vendors. A successful candidate will be able to leverage their existing industry and networking experience to:

  • Achieve monthly sales volume targets
  • Create and implement sales product training, both internally and externally (to vendor sales teams)
  • Identify new business partnerships outside of the usual channels, presenting an opportunity to cross-sell finance products (e.g – B2B partnerships, broker channels, industry associations)
  • Assist with the implementation of marketing plans, vendor/sales incentive programs and promotions
  • Ensure all new vendors are on-boarded with training material, sales resources, and marketing resources for all relevant finance products
  • Make recommendations on improving the vendor onboarding and point of sale finance process
  • Reporting to senior management on the performance of sales
  • Dealing with vendor complaints and account enquiries that are outside the scope of sales team members or account managers.


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a BDM / Sales Manager
  • A highly driven, self-motivated, and tenacious attitude
  • Excellent sales skills with experience in B2B and B2B2C sales
  • Exceptional deployment of sales tactics, and highly developed relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Able to deal with people at decision making & influencer levels.
  • Industry-related experience in home improvement or finance is highly preferred
  • A high level of business acumen with a strategic focus
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive, lead, manage, and create a sales pipeline.
  • Computer Literacy - in particular spreadsheet, word-processing, presentation and database applications, including CRM’s
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple departments and senior management, developing strong internal relationships.
  • Prior experience working in sales within financial services or home improvement industry will be looked upon favourably
