About The Company

Our client, a well respected government department, is currently seeking a talented Principal Project Officer to join their team in Brisbane CBD. This rewarding short term gig will see you working on the management of BA activities that include planning, resource coordination and reporting. You will work within an Agile environment and work with several stakeholders to discover 'as is' and 'to be' business processes.

About The Role

Support the management of projects by:

  • managing and leading BA activities of the project, including planning, resource coordination and reporting, using project management methodologies (such as AgilePM)
  • coordinating, preparing inputs/outputs for and leading a range of workshops and engagements with stakeholders, government agencies, and with small business owners using a Human Centred Design approach
  • using well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively initiate, influence and support the development of relationships with stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for customers and the program
  • leading and collaborating closely with program leadership, business analysts, design and development teams to assess business requirements, determine schedules and create innovative best fit solutions
  • demonstrating knowledge or experience in change management to support transition of project outcomes to BAU
  • establishing work priorities and meeting predetermined deadlines and commitments in a high-pressure environment
  • demonstrating high-level planning and organisational skills including problem and risk analysis, and an analytical yet practical mindset
  • delivering training/coaching to others on processes/systems.

About You

Demonstrated background/experience with:
  • Scrum activities, Agile PM rituals and cadence, facilitation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement with agencies to discover 'as is' and 'to be' business processes, uncovering areas for improvement and ways to do so
  • Business analysis (technical and non-technical)
  • Web content service development
  • Writing use cases and functional requirements
  • Supporting product release activities
  • MS Excel experience, including dashboards
  • Experience using agile PM tools such as Jira and Confluence.
