About the role

A vacancy has arisen in our advisory team for a commercially astute individual that can think out of the box to solve complex problems including implementing practical solutions directly with our clients.

An important part of the position involves building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders ie, local governments and leveraging off these relationships to identify opportunities for improving key organisational processes.

In this exciting role you will also work on interesting projects that make a difference to local communities across Queensland.

About you

To be considered for this position you will demonstrate:

  • Good understanding of process and associated governance
  • Understanding of procurement, contract management, asset management, risk management, and financial (management) reporting and controls, and financial management would be desirable
  • Business acumen and understanding cost drivers and service levels
  • Ability to practically implement recommendations made for external stakeholders
  • Experience in strategic engagement with senior stakeholders around corporate performance, projects and markets.

To succeed in the role, you may have a background in insolvency or internal audit and will be degree qualified in finance, economics, business, accounting, law or relevant discipline. You will have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience working within finance, consulting, relevant industry, or relevant government role. The successful candidate will have exceptional financial analysis, writing and presentation skills, and experience in preparing business cases, feasibility studies and optimising businesses.
