About the Company

Our client is a not for profit community organisation based in Warragul, who pride themselves in providing a range of services to senior members within the local community such as residential care, independent living along with home care and NDIS. The organisations key focus is to provide a warm, welcoming, and inviting environment for their residents, their family and friends.

About the Role

We are seeking an experience Payroll / Finance Officer to process the organisations fortnightly payroll and manage all other associated finance tasks including but not limited to PAYG tax, salary packaging, workers compensation and superannuation payments. The successful candidate would also be required to provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and Systems Manager.

Responsibilities

  • To complete inputting and processing of the fortnightly payroll.
  • End to end processing of company payrolls.
  • Maintenance of payroll system and leave planning system.
  • Updating and maintaining payroll records.
  • Liaising with staff and HR regarding payroll related queries.
  • AP/AR as directed by Management.
  • To reconcile and remit superannuation payments in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • To maintain accurate and complete employee records as required and directed by the Systems Manager.
  • Fortnightly and monthly finance reporting to the Finance Manager and Systems Manager.
  • Assisting with month end processing and reconciliation and payment of payroll and group tax.

Successful applicants will:

  • Will possess a minimum of Certificate 4 in Finance.
  • A certificate 3 in Business would be highly advantageous
  • Have a high level of motivation and ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Have an advanced knowledge and experience within the administrative sector.
  • Have strong understanding of EBA's, Awards, Superannuation and Workers Compensation.
  • Well-developed personal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer literacy.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Police check.
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination.
