The Role

We are a small Brisbane based practice and have been enjoying tremendous growth over the last year. We have two fulltime positions available for dynamic and energetic individuals to join our team working at both our Samford and Gap Offices. You will primarily be providing support to our Senior Conveyancer, Principal Lawyer and senior Wills and Estate Lawyer. The positions are available for an immediate start.

What you would do – Paralegal – Conveyancing

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with residential conveyancing;
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors and other third parties;
  • Preparation of a variety of legal documents and letters;
  • Dictaphone typing;
  • Managing diaries and appointments;
  • running local errands and driving to attend to deliveries and banking;
  • Monthly billing and time recording;
  • General administration and office duties including filing, answering phones, photocopying, scanning and other ad hoc tasks as required.

What you would do – Paralegal-Administration

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • answering the telephone and attending to client needs;
  • greeting clients and offering refreshments;
  • daily mail and banking;
  • basic accounts receivable and payable;
  • running local errands and driving to attend to deliveries and banking;
  • general office duties;
  • dictaphone typing;
  • preparation of legal documents; and
  • drafting simple letters.

Previous Legal Secretarial experience is preferred. Experience in MS Word and Outlook are essential and MS Excel and LEAP Legal software an advantage.

Salary: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
