Soul Origin, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and customer focused KITCHEN HANDS to become part of their team on a casual basis.

Do you love working with fresh ingredients to make delicious, well-presented food? Do you enjoy starting and finishing work early? Then the Kitchen Hand role at Soul Origin is for you! To be successful in this role you will have:

• Availability to commence work from 6am, working across weekends, public holidays and some weekdays
• Minimum of 2 years commercial kitchen experience
• Proven ability to follow detailed make-guides and recipes
• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work alone or as part of a small team
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

• A flexible approach to work – when you’re not preparing fresh food, you’ll be helping with stock take, opening / closing the store and general cleaning duties

Salary: Up to $27.23 per hour

Experience:

• kitchen hand: 2 years (Required)

Work Eligibility:

• Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Preferred)

Job Duties:

• Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations
• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities
• Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
• Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
• Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises
• Other duties as requested
