The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Clinical Nurse Consultants (Team/Site Manager) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) COVID-19 Community Vaccination clinics. The CNC (Team/Site Manager) is responsible and accountable for ensuring that all vaccines are administered in accordance with the relevant legislation, best practice and the guidelines and recommendations in the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
The role
- Temporary full-time or part-time 3 to 6 month contract with the possibility of extension
- Ensure adequate rostering and allocation of staff
- Maintain the cold chain process including Cold Chain Breach Management
- Ensure correct number of consumables on a shift-to-shift basis
- Ensure restocking, refurbishing, cleanliness and waste removal (COVID-safe practice) is maintained
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is mandatory
- AHPRA registration
- Immunisation Program Nurse (IPN) highly desirable
- Operational understanding of Medication Cold Chain principles and associated breach process highly desirable
- Advanced Life Support, inclusive of anaphylaxis management, credentials highly desirable
- A postgraduate qualification within a relevant specialty is highly desirable
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Temporary full time, Temporary part time (3 to 6 months, several positions, hrs negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $4,449.80 - $4,831.00 p.f., $58.55 - $63.56 p.h.

Gold Coast Health had developed a program to ensure that the COVID-19 vaccination is available and accessible to all members of the Gold Coast Community who wish to participate in the Program. Gold Coast Public Health Unit (GCPHU) is an integral component of the Integrated and Ambulatory Care Services division (IACS) and has been tasked with the execution of this roll out locally. GCPHU will provide operational and professional governance for the program.
