The National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (the NIISQ Agency) was established as a statutory body to administer the National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (the Scheme), including the development and implementation of supporting processes, policies and guidelines. The Scheme commenced on 1 July 2016 and provides eligible people who sustain a serious personal injury in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland with necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support needs, irrespective of fault, in some cases for their lifetime. The Scheme is focused on participants and their specific needs, empowering participants to achieve their goals, including maximising health and social outcomes.

Your opportunity
As Service Provider Manager, you will be responsible for partnering with service providers to facilitate better outcomes for participants and their families.
This means that you will have lead responsibility for increasing engagement with and retaining high quality service providers. You will negotiate and work with these providers to establish relationships and partnerships, creating trust and a solid working relationship between the NIISQ Agency and each provider. You will have an overarching goal to ensure service providers understand their contractual requirements while also ensuring high service quality and safeguarding for participants.
The NIISQ Agency participant cohort is primarily located within Queensland, both in the south-east region, as well as regional and remote locations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Attract, register, on-board and retain independent service providers in allied health; disability; attendant, care and support; home modifications and support coordination services.
  • Create terms of agreement with each provider, ensuring understanding and compliance with the NIISQ Agency's high standards of care and professionalism.
  • Manage operational and day to day issues across all parties to ensure high quality services to participants.
  • Manage the registration of each provider and publish details quarterly, as required by the National Injury Insurance Scheme (Queensland) Act 2016 and Regulation.
  • Conduct periodic reviews on all providers, including quality control audits and reviews of contact terms.
  • Work with service providers to:
    - Collaboratively address any service or performance issues to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to participants at all times
    - Ensure that the Agency's relevant Work Health and Safety obligations for contractors are fulfilled, and
    - maintain up-to-date contact information and business continuity plans to ensure availability of required resources at all times.
  • Work with the Participant Care team to provide quality provider information that results in best fit outcomes for participants.
  • Provide contributions to and participate in broader Corporate Services projects and activities as required.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the NIISQ Agency team, stakeholders and service providers to build and sustain positive relationships.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of NIISQ Agency strategies, policies, processes and procedures to enhance quality of service for participants.
  • Contribute as a team member to ensure workload peaks and priorities are met and promote a supportive and healthy working environment.
  • Actively participate in sharing expertise and technical knowledge with peers and across the Agency
  • Other appropriate duties as directed or negotiated.
