The National Injury Insurance Agency, Queensland (the NIISQ Agency) was established as a statutory body to administer the National Injury Insurance Scheme, Queensland (the Scheme), including the development and implementation of supporting processes, policies and guidelines. The Scheme commenced on 1 July 2016 and provides eligible people who sustain a serious personal injury in a motor vehicle accident in Queensland with necessary and reasonable treatment, care and support needs, irrespective of fault, in some cases for their lifetime.

Your key responsibilities

  • Provide and enhance the functional delivery of HR services and programs across the NIISQ Agency, focusing on high-quality service provision, successful project development and delivery, and associated activities.
  • Implement and maintain ongoing HR frameworks, policies, and processes across the Agency for all team member-related matters including: recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, positive performance management, work health and safety, and separations.
  • Collaborate with NIISQ leaders to provide capability building to ensure best practice on people and culture related issues.
  • Develop, implement, review, evaluate and report on HR arrangements for the Agency's strategic and operational plans and associated projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic directions of the Agency.
  • Co-ordinate, provide advice and monitor the Agency's employment framework including legislative and policy compliance, and other relevant obligations.
  • Develop and maintain a system of HR corporate records in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external providers, including payroll and team member safety and wellbeing contractors, and relevant colleagues in stakeholder organisations.
  • Work within the legislative framework, uphold the general principles of the NIISQ Agency and promote respect for participants while empowering them to live their best lives.
  • Actively contribute to the broader NIISQ leadership team activities, including planning, performance leadership, capability development and a learning culture by sharing information and keeping across current evidence and innovations.
  • Other projects and activities as appropriate within capabilities and organisational need.
