For over 32 years, Top Office Group (a Queensland owned second generation family business) has partnered with businesses to find, recruit and train their workforce.

Our service delivery and values have allowed us to develop a solid client base in South East Queensland and we have been a contracted supplier to Queensland Government since 1995. We have forged long standing relationships, building our company largely through word of mouth, as a result of our track record for professionalism, quality and integrity.

We are a Registered Labour Hire Provider in Queensland and specialise in temporary recruitment across white and blue collar, together with recruitment placement, traineeships and training development programs.

As a result of growth, we are currently seeking an Industrial Recruitment Consultant to join our successful Ipswich recruitment team.

The ability to multi-task and operate with a sense of urgency, whilst managing competing deadlines and sharing our passion to ensure an optimum solution for our clients that delivers beyond expectations is essential.

The range of duties will focus on the day-to-day co-ordination of a busy (labour hire) temp desk, together with business development activities, including:

  • Recruitment search, selection and short listing for blue collar roles
  • Writing advertisements and profiles
  • Screening, interviewing, reference checking and maintaining a database of suitable candidates
  • Developing networks, relationships and referrals as a continual sourcing strategy of high quality candidates and job opportunities
  • Pre and post placement follow-through with clients and candidates
  • Cultivating client relationships through a range of business development activities
  • Working with, and maintaining, our database and meeting quality assurance expectations

This is a full-time role and at times, will require flexibility with hours. Credibility is important to us and our clients and industry experience in a blue collar environment to understand the challenges of workforce planning in this sector is essential (a trade qualification or experience recruiting and leading a team in a construction, manufacturing or similar blue collar environment is preferred). The ideal applicant for this role will also demonstrate:

  • A keen sense of urgency and attention to detail with the ability to multi-skill, think on your feet and manage competing priorities
  • Commercial acumen and an aptitude for developing business relationships
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, balanced with good listening skills
  • Confidence, credibility and integrity
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Confidence using technology
  • Previous experience in recruitment search, selection and performance management (either as a hands-on Team Leader or as part of an internal/external recruitment team).
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety (training and experience undertaking site safety assessments, including hazard identification and risk management in a blue-collar environment preferred)
