About the role
This role requires you to provide strategic communications and stakeholder engagement advice. Your service delivery includes preparing engagement strategies (both communication and stakeholder) and top-notch understanding of how digital services impact on customer experience. You will disseminate accurate, clear and concise communications to our internal and external stakeholders and negotiate with stakeholders from all business areas to guide their needs and provide advice.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Branch Manager you will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist communication advice and services across all SRO communication functions.
- Developing and implementing internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement strategies to support change management and drive behavioural change and awareness.
- Producing and delivering a diverse range of high quality communication products and services (online content, publications, media releases, presentation material, reports, presentations, letters, internal articles and event coordination) – consistent with whole of government and SRO communication policies and standards.
- Writing, editing, and proofing external written communication, including web content, in consultation with various stakeholders including business experts and specialists.
- Coordinating media monitoring activities to maximise understanding of stakeholder and public views on activities, services and programs.
Ideal candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in the development and management of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Proven experience in providing influential communication advice and delivering quality communication products and services that support the successful delivery of organisational programs or activities.
- Excellent technical corporate communication skills, including the ability to write effectively across a range of mediums with exceptional attention to detail.
- Expertise in preparing content for online, including writing original copy, editing, and repurposing content for the web, intranet and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to proofread and edit a wide variety of documents to a high standard.
