The Manager Community Partnerships & Engagement Support plays a critical role in shaping the department's approach to engagement with communities, partners and stakeholders, including embedding engagement in the approach to forest and fire policy and planning. You will work with a broad range of stakeholders and partners, both within DELWP, across government and the Victorian community.

The scope of the role is wide-ranging and complex, from strategic policy development through to on-ground program delivery support across the breadth of DELWP's portfolios. Leading a team, you will continue to build an organisational culture that supports community engagement as a core part of service delivery, as well as enhancing capability and capacity. You will facilitate innovation in our engagement approach, enhancing digital engagement to reach more Victorians, more effectively.

You are a people person, with experience building a positive team culture and a track record of developing enduring, collaborative relationships internally and externally to your organisation. As a leader, you manage effectively and develop the skills of your staff so they can achieve their day to day work, as well as their professional goals.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline would be desirable. 
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in stakeholder and community engagement on complex, ambiguous and contested content.
