We’re seeking an experienced ACFI Officer to make a change in the life of our elderly residents and set a new standard in our Labrador Aged Care Facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the Cluster ACFI activity as directed, including the compiling information on cluster ACFI income, trending and variances as well as recommendations for addressing issues.
  • Coordinate and conduct education for nursing staff on the completion, and submission of ACFI
  • In collaboration with Personal Carers and Nurses, review care plans and ensure assessments, care strategies and care delivery reflect the contemporary needs of the resident
  • Ensure assessments, care strategies and documentation provide the evidence to support and sustain optimal ACFI funding
  • Review ACFI processes to achieve the best outcomes
  • Implement training and education programs to improve care planning
  • Work closely with staff to train and support them in ACFI documentation
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications, knowledge, registrations/endorsements licences/checks etc required for the position.
Essential:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing (RN/EN).
  • Demonstrated experience in ACFI (Aged Care Funding Instrument)
  • Demonstrated experience in training and education of nursing staff
  • Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills.
  • Current Driver’s Licence (and as required a comprehensively insured, road worthy vehicle).
  • All Blue Care staff must satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or Blue Care policies.
Desirable:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial sustainability and /or knowledge of budget management in residential setting
  • Demonstrated sound understanding and knowledge of person-centred, integrated care services delivery
  • Demonstrated understanding of the aged care, community and/or disability sectors
  • Demonstrated level of leadership, customer service and problem solving.
  • Relevant vaccinations in line with Blue Care staff vaccination policy.

Recently, Queensland Health advised that employees working in a residential aged care facility are no longer required to have an influenza vaccination. Whilst the influenza vaccination is currently not a requirement, it is highly likely the vaccination will be a seasonal requirement moving into future years. We strongly encourage all employees across Aged Care and Community Services to obtain the seasonal influenza vaccination to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the vulnerable people in our care as well as their own.


Selection Criteria
Essential: Do you hold a current Nurse Licence and Registration Certificate to practice in the State where employed? i.e. AHPRA registration
Desirable: Understanding & Experience working with ACFI.
