The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior People Advisor to join the Melbourne-based team for a 12-month Parental Leave cover reporting to the People Manager – Australia East. In this role you will have a fantastic opportunity to work with an ASX 50 Global Energy Leader responsible for support in the effective delivery of Australia East, PNG & Mongolia (AUE) People strategy for the location and for designated Projects.

It is desirable that you have previous experience working in an EPCM/EPC environment and can demonstrate proficiency in change management, organisational design and employee relations. You will have strong leadership, communication, advanced negotiation and influencing skills, along with a strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with HR planning and strategy implementation in line with business objectives
  • Develop and deliver genuine partnership relationship with business leaders to assist with implementation of the location and people group strategies
  • Management of human resources generalist activities to ensure all accountabilities are executed to support the business in meeting its objectives
  • Provide support and advice to the business, employees and recruitment team on remuneration matters.
  • Partner with the Talent and Capability Team, and the business, to manage talent, key personnel development and performance reviews
  • Provide People support and advice in the setting up of new alliances and projects, providing support in the development of terms and conditions, policies and processes, integration activities and liaison with customer contacts on site

About You:

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is desirable
  • Technical and practical human resources skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely outcomes for internal customers
  • Strong coaching, influencing, analytical and interpersonal skills to support the business
  • Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with management teams to create a positive workplace culture that fosters the ongoing development, retention and motivation of talented individuals within the company
  • Experience working in a Project Delivery environment or Resources industry
  • Highly developed problem-solving ability
