Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties

  • Provide support to the Commission’s hearing processes, including coordinating attendance and submissions; the publication of material online; and giving general assistance to the Commission’s delegates.

  • Undertake research and analysis in support of the Commission’s consideration of draft Local Provisions Schedules (LPSs), draft amendments and combined permits and amendments to interim planning schemes, including the use of GIS and other electronic applications.
  • Prepare a wide range of written outputs, including Commission agenda items, correspondence, draft decisions and reasons using template documents and reports.
  • Undertake preliminary checks of statutory matters referred to the Commission to ensure the appropriate statutory steps have been complied with and required documents have been provided.

Desirable Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

  • Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
