Executive Manager, Risk & Business Controls – Financial Markets

Critical Leadership role to provide 1st Line risk and controls expertise across Financial Markets and Regulatory Change projects.

How will I help?
Reporting to the Head of Business Controls, Risk in Change, you will lead a team of experienced 1st line Risk Managers, in the context of regulatory change across the Financial Markets end to end value chain.

This person will work in conjunction with the Project, 1st line of defence and 2nd line of defence to ensure all compliance obligations relevant to Financial Markets are incorporated into business unit compliance plans and supported by robust compliance processes. Furthermore, you will ensure projects meet the minimum requirements for managing operational risk in projects, including completion of the Risk Control Matrix.

You will be enthusiastic and strive to make a difference. Proactively establishing and managing key relationships across the Financial Markets project portfolio and engaging into the business including WIB Controls team, Desk Heads, Financial Markets Leadership, BAU 1st Line risk team to create a culture of change, and ensure the impacts are appropriately documented and assessed, within the approved risk & compliance appetite.

What do I need?

  • Experience Leading a 1st Line Risk team in the context of regulatory change
  • Breadth & depth of knowledge of OTC derivative regulations
  • 10 + years of Risk & Controls Management & Project delivery experience
  • Exposure to Financial Markets
  • Ability to establish yourself as a trusted advisor to Financial Markets Leadership
  • Passion to lead and motivate teams
