Following several years of sequential growth, Cognizant is seeking a Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) Integration Leader to join its growing ANZ Corporate Development team to drive the integration strategy, planning and execution of companies that Cognizant acquires.

About the role:

As an M&A Integration Leader, you will be working independently and leading cross functional teams. You will meet with our internal business and target company leaders to understand the business and help determine how best to enable achievement of growth plans and synergies. You will need to understand and help structure the key business value drivers, identify key issues and risks/conclusions and provide value through insights, factual conclusions and advice as you guide the various stakeholders through the M&A Integration lifecycle. Key to success will be effective communication, collaboration, and program management skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising, coaching and supporting Business Unit key executives including deal team, corporate development, executive committee, integration steering committee and work stream leaders in identifying, framing, making and executing appropriate integration decisions
  • Participating in or analyzing key due diligence and business case data to frame out, coordinate, define and construct all relevant components of a comprehensive integration strategy framework, including what, when and how to integrate all major enterprise elements in light of deal type, business model, target specific value drivers or other strategic considerations;
  • Establishing the cross functional integration team for each deal consisting of a combination of internal and external resources; then architecting, operationalizing and executing all relevant IMO processes, events, plans, reports, metrics or other requirements throughout the M&A lifecycle;
  • Co-lead and support the Business Unit integration leadership in creating and conducting all executive committee, steering committee and integration team meeting kick offs, report-outs, planning events; status, operating results and accountability meetings related to or intersecting with integration;
  • Actively lead, support and coach all corporate function work stream leads and their respective teams to develop and adapt comprehensive and appropriately detailed integration plans and projects linked to key deal value drivers, then coordinate and manage all cross functional dependencies, priorities and budgets associated with each;
  • Participate in the development, planning and execution of all communications, change management and culture related strategies and tactics, and coach / guide Business Unit executive staff and key stakeholders.
