Who are we looking for?
We are seeking motivated and experienced applicants for the role of Registered Nurse to work in Palliative Care, North West Tasmania
Details of Appointment
Multiple Casual Day Worker positions working as and when required for a 2 year period.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager , the focus of duties of this role are:
- In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluate patient/client care.
- Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for registered nurses/midwives.
- Involve patients/clients and their families/significant others in the planning and implementation of care.
- Maintain and promote a safe work environment.
Please note: subsequent appointments may be made from this process and notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Essential Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Driver's Licence
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- Conviction checks in the following areas: a) Crimes of Violence, b) Sex Related Offences, c) Serious Drug Offences, d) Crimes involving dishonesty, e) Traffic Offences
- Identification check
- Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
* as required by CHSP, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
