Founded in Sydney in 2017, as a side hustle, co-founders Mina and Michael went full time in 2019 and in the short period since, Zoomo has raised over $16M and built world leading utility e-bikes and a disruptive business model for their distribution and maintenance. We're a fast growing tech start up with a global footprint across the US, Australia, and the UK and is now trusted partner of some of the world's leading companies like Uber, DoorDash, Dexus and many more.

THE ROLE
This is an exciting role reporting directly to and working closely with the CEO. You will be based in Australia or the USA. You will support the CEO with strategy development, fundraising and other corporate development tasks that may arise from time to time like exploration of M&A opportunities. The role requires strong grasp of investor mindset (VC, PE and Debt), very strong financial literacy and presentation skills. The role requires strong strategic thinking, strong execution and project management, and the interpersonal ability to work with teams from around the business. Zoomo is undergoing a period of rapid growth across the globe and we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can switch between long-term strategic thinking one moment and pivot into time-sensitive business critical project execution the next.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising and investor relations: Support fundraising efforts (crafting investor appropriate narrative, create pitch deck, respond to investor asks). Work closely with the founding team to craft board meeting agendas and liaise with existing investors.
- Business strategy: Remain abreast of mobility landscape developments and ensure Zoomo is growing in the appropriate direction.
- Business/Corporate Development: Keep abreast of latest developments in mobility industry; Assist in negotiation of major strategic partnerships eg R&D, Licensing, Manufacturing, Distribution. This will involve a wide range of activities, including attending key stakeholder meetings with the CEO or as the CEO’s representative, negotiating key commercial terms and working with internal and external stakeholders to close deals.
Requirements
- Based in Australia or USA
- 4+ years of working experience with at least 3 years in Investment banking, VC or PE
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment
- Strong communication skills, especially across teams and business units
- Data-driven and structured in your decision making with sound business judgment
- Self-starter with a “can-do” outlook
- An entrepreneurial attitude – you should be comfortable looking at a problem from multiple angles
- Relevant industry (cycling, energy, infrastructure, food delivery, mobility, tech, logistics, fleet) experience advantageous but not required
