Senior Associate - Project Finance

How will I help?
Westpac Institutional Bank manages the financial needs of corporate, institutional and government clients. We are a leading provider of wholesale banking services in the area. This role will join the Project Finance business, ensuring excellence in product delivery, effective system utilisation and risk analysis while focussed on customer satisfaction and sustainable profitability.

You will support the origination and execution of Project Finance transactions while pro-actively ascertaining the credit quality of complex debt transactions including financial modelling, risk analysis and structure in partnership with relationship managers, syndications, and risk teams.

You will also:

  • Complete credit risk analysis, pitches and research for complex transactions to quality standards
  • Pro-active involvement in the credit decision and account planning process
  • Analyse transactions to meet financial goals within agreed customer, sector, and country risk appetite.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to assess credit risk and undertake post deal reviews

What do I need?
You will build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and will ensure complete compliance to relevant policies and procedures. You will be able to work to tight timeframes in a deal driven environment and will bring demonstratable knowledge of debt structures and products.

Some further advantageous skills:

  • Extensive experience supporting Project Finance or complex debt transactions
  • Strong cash flow modelling and credit writing skills.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the investor and customer market
