Our skills and experience range from helping organisations tocomply with greenhouse and energy regulatory programs, through to identifyingand assessing emissions abatement opportunities, developing decarbonisationstrategies and net zero pathway plans, assessing climate-related risks andopportunities and supporting the development of evidence-based policy.

We are looking for a Senior Manager or Directorwithin our Climate Change team in our Melbourne office. As a Senior Manager/Directorwithin EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services team your role will beto lead business development and execution of EY’s climate change services.

Your key responsibilities

  • Leading business development of EY’s ClimateChange services in Melbourne and achieving sales targets
  • Building trustingrelationships with EY clients and leveraging those relationships to generatebusiness opportunities
  • Leading the go-to-marketplan for EY’s climate change services, enhancing market presence in Melbourneand supporting the execution of EY’s climate change services strategy
  • Fostering acollaborative and high performing team environment while applyingtechnical expertise of climate change to direct project teams on delivery ofEY’s climate change services

Skills and attributes for success

  • Climate riskassessment and adaptation planning applying AS/NZ ISO 31000 –RiskManagement and scenario analysis to quantify the physical and transitionimpacts of climate change and disclosure climate impacts in alignment with theTaskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Recommendations
  • DecarbonisationStrategy and net zero emissions pathway planning includingapplying Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC), Emissions Reduction InvestmentCurve (ERIC), Energy budgets at Risk (EBaR) analysis to identify and assess thefeasibility of emissions abatement opportunities
  • Reporting andassurance in accordance with the Taskforce on Climate-related FinancialDisclosures (TCFD) Recommendations, National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting(NGER) Scheme, Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF), Climate Active Carbon NeutralStandards, Climate Bonds Standard, Global Reporting Initiative, SustainabilityAccounting Standards Bboard and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)
  • Emissionsinventory development including the application of the GreenhouseGas (GHG) Protocol Corporate, Scope 3, Cities, Product Life Cycle standards aswell as experience applying ISO14064 Greenhouse Gas Environmental ManagementSystems

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • 10+ years’ experience providing climate changeconsulting services with significant knowledge of the market for these servicesin Melbourne
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in science,engineering or economics
  • Qualification as a Registered Greenhouse andEnergy Auditor with the Clean Energy Regulator
  • Qualification as a Registered Climate ActiveConsultant
  • Qualification as a Certified Practicing RiskManager
