About the Project

AIE, part of Squadron Energy Group, is also accelerating the associated development of a dual fuel – LNG – Hydrogen 800MW power station in the Illawarra to be initially fuelled by gas from the PKGT. The design provides for large scale dispatchable power and the ability to transition to hydrogen fuel as Fortescue Metals Group and other hydrogen suppliers bring industry-scale production online.

The PKGT is strategically located in an existing industrial port located a short distance (13km) from the existing Eastern Gas Pipeline (EGP) which provides a major natural gas arterial between Victoria and NSW. With construction forecasted to take 18-20 months, putting the project on track to supply more than 75 per cent of NSW’s gas needs by the end of 2022.

About the role

As the Planner/Scheduler you will be responsible for the preparation and establishment of project planning systems and procedures and the development of project schedules based on the scope of work, drawings, milestones and engineering data in compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up Primavera and related back end data base and security.
  • Establish organisation, enterprise and work breakdown structures.
  • Develop all coding including but not limited to project, activity, resource/roles codes and user defined fields.
  • Develop, baseline, maintain and progress the project master schedule.
  • Perform Schedule risk and critical path analysis
  • Monitor project progress, status of the schedule and report on progress.
  • Identify trends or potential slippages and report on these to the Project Controls Manager cc the Project Manager.
  • Work with Contractors to develop recovery schedules, if required.
  • Produce regular reports on progress against schedule including but not limited to S-Curves, critical path and variance reports.
  • Other project controls activities when required.

Please note this opportunity is initially a 2-year Fixed Term contract.

About you

You will be an experienced Senior Planner/Scheduler with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar planning position, in addition to;

  • Proficient with and experienced in the use of in Primavera P6, with Primavera accreditation being highly regarded.
  • Proven experience owning Primavera schedules on large infrastructure projects in previous roles.
  • Proficient with and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office & Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with incorporating costs into a Primavera schedule.
  • Experience in Cost Control and other project controls functions is highly regarded.
  • Current drivers’ licence.
