JOB DESCRIPTION

The Role:

The Assistant Project Manager will support and assist the Asset Development team in pursuing business development opportunities, developing projects in the portfolio, and the delivery of energy generation and other assets from the lead-up to financial close to the commencement of commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out delegated activities to support the deployment and effective utilization of team resources across business development, project development and project delivery work phases.
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying stakeholders, finding out their needs / issues / concern and anticipating or reacting to these by arranging meetings and events and drafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment.
  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project / task, escalating where appropriate. Where necessary, develop, agree on, and implement clear and effective solutions to overcome these.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have gained substantial development and construction project work experience, preferably from renewable energy developments. You are interpersonally savvy, have strong numerical skills and exceptional planning and prioritising skills. You can balance stakeholders, communicate effectively and collaborate well with others to meet shared objectives.

Experience and knowledge in power generation technologies will be well regarded.
