About the Role

My client is looking for someone that can act as a Senior HSE Advisor on a major pharmaceutical construction project. You will be responsible for managing the safety component of the build and play a key role in liaising with the client team. You will report directly into the Victorian HSE Manager and the Operations Manager, you will be supported by an excellent project team.

  • Must have previous Pharmaceutical Construction Experience
  • Must have a BSc Degree HSE Management
  • Must have an Electrical Plant Background and relevant qualifications.
  • Must be experienced in Services Coordination

Duties

As a Senior HSE Advisor you will be responsible for Safety Management of the overall project and your core responsibility will be to coordinate and drive safety standards on site, as well as:

  • Making sure the site is fully compliant to a very high standard of site-based safety standards.
  • Provision of strong leadership for an Incident & Injury free work environment.
  • To make sure everyone goes home safe at the end of each working day.
  • Coordinating all Health & Safety strategies & initiatives, as well as having a strong systems background (Hammertech preferred).
  • Managing all Audits & Compliance, including communication with all internal & external auditors.
  • Development of functional relationships with all key stakeholders (both onsite & corporate) that have a responsibility for employee safety.
  • Conduct Audit and Inspections with the Client’s Safety Consultant Professionals providing reports and responses as required.
  • Must be a stronger communicator and is able to consult at all levels of the business and at the project level.

Skills and Experience

Due to the specific nature of the role described my client will only consider applicants with the following experience and qualifications;

  • Degree Qualified in a focused OHS / HSE specialism - essential
  • Experience working on a similar large-scale live environment Pharmaceutical projects - essential
  • Must have an Electrical Plant Background and relevant qualifications.
  • Must be experienced in Services Coordination
  • Proven experience liaising with Pharmaceutical stakeholders and internal project teams - essential
  • Experience working for a similar top Tier Construction company on large $100m+ projects - essential
