Our People & Culture team works closely with the business to deliver our business and people strategy. We have an unwavering focus on building a flexible and adaptable workforce, driving leadership capability, improving productivity and creating safe workplaces.

As a Manager, People within Network Aviation you will be responsible for providing expert advice and helping deliver on such areas as Organisational Design and Change Management, Industrial Relations, Talent Management, Compensation, and Organisational Development programs within the context of targeted program/s of work and transformation activities. As you work across a variety of business areas, EBAs and programs of work you will also be responsible for supporting the embedded HR teams and Business Managers to meet business objectives and ensure consistency of HR practice across Qantas Group, advising and coaching business managers in the interpretation and application of HR policy, relevant employment legislation, enterprise agreement(s) and best practice HR principles and processes.

To be considered for this role, you’ll have;

  • Proven experience as a People Partner in a People and Culture role

  • Demonstrated ability to partner strategically with the business in a large organisation, building fast and trusted relationships with the business from a base of strong HR acumen

  • Proven ability to manage change and drive a variety of key initiatives, both operational and strategic, getting hands on when needed

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with an ability to communicate in both technical and business relevant modes

  • A solid understanding of relevant policies, frameworks and legislation and their application within the Qantas Group and industrial landscape

  • A strategic mindset and organisational skills to effectively manage multiple issues, timeframes and stakeholders

  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline desirable
