About us
The West Area (Barwon South West and Grampians) is a business unit of the Corrections and Justice Services group in the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
About the role
As the Employment Pathway Broker, you will be responsible for:
- proactively developing and maintaining partnership arrangements with organisations that deliver education, training and employment services for offenders in the community
- developing and maintaining formal governance structures in support of established partnerships
- ensuring accurate, clear and appropriate communication with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure there is a common understanding of and commitment to jointly agreed initiatives
- supporting internal and partner staff to increasingly assume responsibility for maintenance of partnerships and partnership-related activities.
In addition to the above, you will be working closely with Corrections Victoria's Education, Training and Employment Division, to ensure consistent service delivery and shared benefits from partnerships developed.
About you
As the Employment Pathways Broker, you will possess:
- a demonstrated understanding of education, training and/or employment related service systems
- a certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor qualification (an advantage)
- excellent conceptual and organisational skills, using objective analysis of multiple approaches and viewpoints and confidently selecting and implementing the most effective course of action.
Keys to your success will be your highly developed communication, presentation and consultancy skills including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
