Sheet Metal Duct Installers Needed!

Betta People are currently recruiting Sheet Metal Duct Installers for ongoing roles based in Toowoomba. We are looking for people with trade experience - ideally plumbing, roofing or carpentry. These are permanent roles and if you are a successful applicant who is not local - accommodation will be provided.

We are recruiting for our client who provides commercial and industrial electrical, air-conditioning, refrigeration, communication, security, and facility maintenance services to the construction, civil, mining, energy and data storage industries.

About the role

· Ongoing permanent role based in Toowoomba

· If you are not local accommodation will be provided with an additional working away from home allowance

· Excellent hourly base rate

· These roles are starting ASAP

· Reading and interpreting plans/drawings

· Repetitive manual labour

· Use of hand tools

· Working with sheet metal

To be successful for this role you must:

· Have minimum 3+years’ experience on either commercial or industrial projects

· Ability to read and interpret drawings

· Ability to work autonomously, and cohesively in a team environment

· Strong time management and prioritisation skills

· Great customer service and communication skills

· Have current Construction White Card

Preferred but not essential:

· Trade qualification in plumbing, roofing, carpentry or similar

· Previous experience in sheet metal work, duct joinery and other metal works

· Skills in the assembly and installation of sheet metal and flexible duct, fire dampers, air handling equipment, grilles and diffusers would be highly advantageous

· Working at Heights and EWP tickets

Salary: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Sheet Metal: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Eligibility:

• Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Preferred)
