The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation who are expanding rapidly. Employees are all working from home currently but when applicable, you will travel to the offices in Melbourne's inner suburbs (4km from the CBD). Offices can be accessed by train or tram and some local parking is available.
The Role
This is initially a 6-8 week position but could lead on to a long-term opportunity within the business. It's a varied and challenging role which reports directly to the Finance Manager. Interviews taking place from early February with the successful applicant starting soon after. Full training will be provided from home
Typical day to day duties will involve:
- Contacting commercial customers to chase up on unpaid debts
- High volume low value invoice generation
- Bank reconciliations
- Handling billing queries
- Generation of aged debtors report
- Allocation and receipting of incoming payments
- Negotiation of payment plans with commercial customers
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Various other ad hoc accounts related tasks
Hours are full time and the successful candidate will have the option to go permanent if all goes well in the initial temporary period.
Your Profile
You will have a background in Credit Control and/or Accounts Receivable with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
- Experience with credit control and collection from large corporate customers
- An enthusiasm to learn and grow in the position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available to start quickly (max 1 week)
- ERP systems experience
