An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our client's thriving business in a rewarding role designed to drive sales performance across the Melbourne region.

The Company

We have partnered with a growing SME that specialises in manufacturing and distributing pre-finished architectural-quality façade products to the building and construction industry throughout Australia. Their growth and success over the last two years has come from their agile response to meet customers project requirements. With a consultative approach, they build close relationships with their installer network to ensure a seamless façade solution.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager for Victoria, you will be accountable for engaging with and creating positive relationships with Builders, Contractors and Architects, to successfully secure project specifications with clients in the Architectural and design phase of new construction projects.

My client has an impressive range of superior building façade and cladding products and a fantastic reputation in the market which you will leverage from, but success in this role comes down to your relationship building and selling skills.

With their Head Office based in NSW, you will be required to work from home in Victoria and manage your time well. You will have the support of an Internal Sales Team to assist with prospecting potential clients, but you will also be required to build a strong network through face-to-face engagement. You will spend approximately 75% of your time on the road visiting clients.

Your persistence and self-motivation will be key in helping you build strong customer relationships, win projects, and achieve repeat business.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and grow key business partnerships.
  • Work with industry stakeholders and provide documentation, samples and support as required.
  • Ensure all business development partnerships are implemented with best practice across the range of company brands / services.
  • Tailor and customise solutions to meet customer need.
