The role

This is a strategic leadership role heavily focused on the delivery of community service programs, with a focus on CDP (The Australian Government's Community Development Program) and includes accountability for the delivery of Money Management Services. Reporting to the Chief Executive, your role is multi-faceted. Firstly, you will lead the delivery of CDP in accordance with policy, procedure and under the relevant legislation and funding agreements.

You will facilitate and lead all contractual arrangements that BAC enters, at both the state and federal government level, ensuring contractual obligations are always met. You exhibit sound relationship management skills that enable you to foster strong, open and transparent relationships and partnership with local, state and federal governments, which ultimately ensures continuous funding contracts are maintained.

Meeting the highest level of compliance standards against regulatory requirements and maintaining our legislative obligations will also be expected in this role.

This role leads a team of 30+ staff, so your style of leadership encourages, motivates and fosters trust and therefore the development of staff around you. Thus contributing to improved performance and outcomes for all involved. You have previously established a safe, open minded and collaborative environment for all to thrive in.

About you

With significant and senior leadership experience in a similar role, you’ll join us with a Degree in Case Management, from a recognised tertiary institute, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing community service programs, within a remote community. You understand the challenges that these services face on a daily basis, and you provide support, to ensure their ongoing success.

You have strong project, financial, operational and risk management experience, managing budgets, programs of work and reporting requirements, all whilst ensuring compliance with ongoing funding arrangements, financial regulators and ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements under your management.

You demonstrate a collaborative, transparent and honest communication style, and have proven experience partnering with traditional Landowners on very complex, multi-layered social issues, to provide insight and advice to solve these and put in place rigorous plans for the future.

Simultaneously, you’ll call upon your extensive networks within the state and the Australian Federal government sector, utilising these to identify, leverage, and improve social service offerings to the community.

If selected, we ensure a rigorous recruitment process including interview, police check, reference checks and a negative COVID test must be provided, prior to entry into the Maningrida community.

A clear criminal conviction report must be returned so you are able to obtain a NT Ochre card as well as a working with children and vulnerable people clearance.
