- Career opportunity for a qualified Quality and Manufacturing Professional with advanced experience in Health & Nutrition, Complementary Medicines or Pharma
- Full-time, permanent position located Bayside, in Braeside
This is an exceptional opportunity for a leader with proven experience and expertise in Health & Nutrition, Complementary Medicines or Pharma manufacturing to manage and champion the Quality Manufacturing function in all Production areas, including contracted Cleaning services, and assist the FLM team in Quality/GMP and people related issues at our Braeside facility.
Our Manufacturing Quality Specialist encompasses managing, leading, supporting and coaching others to achieve all aspects of GMP related to Manufacturing and Blackmores’ Values, Quality and Safety standards including; Batch Right First Time, Events and Deviations, Root Cause Analysis, GMP Training, support delivery and achievement of business outcomes, production schedules, etc.

- Deviation Management, including Root Cause Analysis relating to manufacturing deviations
- Ensure investigations are thoroughly conducted and documented with true Root Cause Analysis identified and associated CAPAs presented to prevent recurrence
- Support and coach a highly productive and performing team of Front Line Managers, and Manufacturing personnel

- Foster efficient cross functional teamwork and cohesive team dynamics
- Adhere to, initiate and improve Manufacturing, Quality, EH&S and GMP processes, policies and procedures
- Ensure the manufacturing team are inspection ready at all times with zero overdue events, deviations, CAPAs etc
- Develop, implement, manage and support relevant training and assessment, documentation and related tasks; Reports, SOPs, WIs, Change Controls, Events and Risk Assessments etc. to ensure GMP compliance, on-time-delivery (OTD) and achieve Batch Right First Time targets
- Manage the lead change and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure all activities are conducted according to GMP, EH&S and Blackmores’ requirements, expectations and Values
- Liaise with the Quality function as primary Operations contact and provide GMP/Quality related training to Manufacturing
- Manage and oversee the Contract Cleaner provider, function and services in all manufacturing areas to ensure compliance with GMP and Quality requirements and expectations
- Provide Front Line Manager support, backup and assistance across all shifts (day, afternoon and night)
- Actively participate in and contribute to Continuous Improvement, Efficiency, Quality and Safety Projects
- Communicate effectively and professionally (verbal and written) across all levels and functions to drive positive outcomes for the business.
- Tertiary qualified in Science &/or Engineering (preferred) &/or extensive experience in Complementary Medicines &/or Pharma manufacturing environment
- Experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Management/leadership covering; GMP, continuous improvement, training and assessment, Quality practices and systems and EHS in a commercial manufacturing environment
- Advanced investigative, assessment, analysis, interpretive, reporting and computer skills etc.
- A respected Leader who genuinely enjoys working with others from diverse backgrounds and interests, who embraces opportunities and is able to deliver outcomes in partnership with others
- Lead by example and foster productive relationships, work effectively with multiple teams and nurture cohesive team dynamics
- Well developed, strong technical Writing skills and experience in problem solving, specially Root Cause Analysis, Events, Deviations, CAPAs, Change Controls etc.
