Short Description

In the role of Technical Test Lead, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Work with Engine/Group/Team Engineers and QA Integration Coach to develop Functional test strategy for E2E or System Integration Tests.
  • Defining quality plans and metrics including planning test cycles (UAT, Integration, regression, etc.) and execution in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Participate in test planning and architect activities, understanding the requirements or features, write test cases detailing the steps referring to acceptance criteria
  • Consult and/or advocate test automation efforts through UI, Service or Unit layers. Drive automation driven testing approach where feasible
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with engineers, Engine/Group/Team Engineers, Scrum Masters and Release Management.
  • Participate in the review of accurate resource plans, project schedules and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and direction on quality assurance best practices to team members, colleagues and peers.
  • Develop and implement improvements to quality control practices.
  • Provide excellence in quality engineering practices.
  • Support the Quality Engineers to create frameworks that support automated testing.
  • Support the Product Owners to define acceptance criteria for new features.
  • Measure the level of automation and test coverage and support the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure test planning is developed, implemented and compliant with test processes to deliver repeatable and measurable quality results.
  • Coordinates scheduling for system and integration testing and communicates with testing partners where there are multiple systems and application development teams involved.
  • Consults with client and IT management and staff throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems.


Skills /Competencies:
  • 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Experienced in industry standard testing methodologies and tools.
  • Experienced in medium to large scale Agile / DevOps programs.
  • Significant experience in gathering test requirements to create estimations, detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.
  • Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects, driving quality in every aspect.
  • Tertiary Qualification in IT/Computer Science/ Related Discipline

  • Automating manual tasks across the Systems Development Life Cycle to enable nimbler delivery at greater speed, frequency, predictability and accuracy.
  • Human-Centered Design - Evolving ideas with end users.
  • Collaborating with customers and customer facing employees to test rapid prototypes of products and/or services concepts, continuously iterating, adapting and learning to further enhance ideas.
