- Full-time, casual appointment for 3 months
- Salary: Level 6, Step 1 = $41.36 per hour + 25% casual loading + 9.5% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under limited direction, undertake statistical analyses and research report writing covering a range of topics including homelessness, unemployment and mental health at the Centre for Social Impact UWA (CSI UWA).
Key responsibilities:
- Assist CSI UWA researchers in quantitative data collection through Qualtrics and other platforms
- Assemble data from various sources in excel and other platforms and present relevant data visualisations of data
- Undertake statistical analyses of unit record data using relevant statistical models and packages
- Write research reports as part of a team
- Develop Powerpoint presentations of findings
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Hold relevant degree and postgraduate degree qualifications
- Relevant research experience at an appropriate level in the social sciences, psychology or public health relevant to an understanding of outcomes for vulnerable populations and/or those in hardship or in social distress or experiencing health issues including mental health issues
- Substantial experience in analysing social and/or health unit record data using relevant statistical models and packages
- Substantial experience in team-based research report writing with highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
- Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team
