Job Description:
This leading State Government Department is looking for a high performing and innovative A07 Principal Advisor to join an new exciting project which is the largest single investment in Qld's transport network.

In the role of A07 Principal Advisor you will manage the program controls and be responsible for ensuring controls are consistently applied across work streams whilst providing strategic advice and options for improvements and efficiencies. You will work as part of the Program Management Office, ensuring associated systems, governance, risk management, reporting and scheduling of the program is maintained and improved.

Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • Coordinate program stream activities to ensure successful completion of the program.
  • Promote and ensure use of appropriate program and project management techniques, methodologies and tools
  • Manage the program risk register
  • Develop, implement and manage program reporting that supports governance and decision making
  • Manage, monitor and report on program related trends and performance
  • Undertake secretariat duties for committee, control group or steering committee as required
  • Support the maintainance of the program schedule to provide forecasts and facilitate decision making; and
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will:
Have a relevant qualification in Project/Program Management and PRinCE2 project management/ MSP methodology certification would be desirable
Have excellent data analysis and excel skills
Have experience in program report design, creation and/or management
