The Wesley Hospital currently have an opportunity for an experienced administrative Team Leader to join their Allied Health Outpatients Services.

Your Role:

We’re seeking an experienced administrative professional to join our Allied Health Outpatients Services as Team Leader; you will play a key role in supporting Allied Health professionals and their respective programs by:

  • Building strong, effective relationships with internal and external specialists
  • Providing leadership and support to the administrative staff within the Outpatient Services
  • Assisting in the management of HR aspects of the administrative team such as recruitment, inductions, training and rosters
  • Reviewing and implementing administration processes and procedures
  • Fostering exceptional business practices, including achievement of business KPI’s and revenue targets
  • Providing information and setup support for new doctors

Your Background:

You will have demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, effective time management skills and a high attention to detail along with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous leadership experience preferably in a healthcare specialist environment
  • Sound business practices through Cert III qualification in Business or equivalent
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution, change management and partnership building skills
  • Knowledge of Medicare/HICAPs/DVA/Third Party and Workers’ Compensation billing and relevant legislation
  • Knowledge of contractual agreements and documentation regarding Private Health Funds
  • Sound computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, SAP and other financial and practice management systems

Essential: Ability to navigate unfamiliar systems
Essential: Experience in managing a small team
Not Essential: Desired experience in SAP and Cerner
Essential: Excellent communication skills with ability to problem solve
Essential: Experience and knowledge of the Medicare, DVA and health fund billing requirements
Not Essential: Experience working in a busy allied health outpatient setting is desirable
