St Andrews War Memorial Hospital is currently inviting applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their Operating Theatre Department.

About the Role:

You will provide exceptional patient care whilst assessing and responding appropriately to clinical nursing issues and concerns. Based on your experience, you will assist with providing supervision and guidance within a multi-disciplinary team, through effective decision making and support.

You’ll be an experienced practitioner with clinical experience in operating theatres and a commitment to ongoing quality improvement initiatives. You’ll be an advocate for person-centred care, leading by example through exceptional communication and customer service.

In addition, the successful candidate will present with:

  • Current and unconditional AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in operating theatres including ophthalmology
  • Ability to work flexible roster
  • Studying towards or completion of a relevant graduate certificate or diploma in Perioperative Nursing - desirable
  • Ability to provide leadership, support and mentorship to other Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and AIN’s
