The Role
in these Receptionist/Telephonists roles you will join our patient-focused Reception team. This role involves directing patients, visitors and staff to the appropriate services within Epworth and effectively answering and triaging calls to the switchboard in a courteous and timely manner. The shifts hours are between the hours of 5:30am to 10.00pm, and can fall on any day of the week. A 7-day roster ensures the operational requirements of the hospital are met. You will need to be flexible to work on a rotating roster across all shift times.

You will make an impact by:

  • Working on the switchboard answering internal and external calls
  • Assisting Patients, Visitors and Staff within the hospital
  • Undertaking a variety of administrational duties
  • Maintaining office equipment
  • Having a strong customer service focus
  • The ability to prioritise in a timely and accurate manner
  • An ability to cope under pressure and make informed decisions according to hospital needs

To be successful in this role…
You will be experienced in a service industry in reception and administration. You will have a natural ability to communicate with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will have:

  •  Strong computer literacy
  • The ability to work a variety of shifts across the weekly roster
  • Be innovative, proactive and creative (if you see a better way of doing things - you make it happen)
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in your work
